If you keep a snake or snakes, there is always the possibility that one day you will be bitten.
The more snakes you keep in your collection, the greater your chances of being caught out.
The first thing to remember is that it’s never the snake’s fault when somebody is bitten. They are very instinctive animals and you should learn to observe your animal and get to know the signals that
it is nervous or just doesn’t want to be handled.
Typical things to watch out for are:
1) Coiling back into the classic ‘S’ shape and hissing.
2) Buzzing the tip of the tail.
3) Eyes clouded before a shed.
