Snakes and lizards both shed their skin as they grow.

If the conditions are right, your snake should shed it’s skin in one complete piece. Lizards shed theirs in bits and pieces.

It is very important to check that your snake or lizard has shed all of it’s old skin. Incomplete shedding can cause very serious problems for your animal.

When your animal sheds it’s skin you should check it over carefully, paying particular attention to the areas that are most likely to cause problems.
