We first got interested in reptiles about one year ago, when my partner and myself went to a pet shop for a look around and came out with four Leopard Geckos.
About six weeks ago we went to the pet shop to buy some crickets and inside there was a Meller’s Chameleon we fell in love with him straight away. The
next day we went back and took our Geckos with us and came home with the Chameleon. He is very much bigger and very much slower than the Geckos, the kids love to handle him.
Dont get me wrong, he is very loveable but takes up a lot of time and money. Especially now knowing that the Meller’s is one of the largest and most difficult
Chameleons to keep in captivity. So we are doing our very best to see to his every need, I think he knows this as he likes to tell us when he wants fed by licking his
lips. Even when there are hoppers in his cage, he likes you to feed them to him. We dont do this all the time as we dont want him to get lazy.
I would like to thank Jim for all the help he has given us in gaining information for the wellbeing of Cameron our Meller’s Chameleon.
