I first got interested in snakes around 4 years ago when my dad's friend has a large corn snake. I always used to want to go visit him so I could handle and watch his snake. When my brother
was at a birthday party one day my dad and his friend took me for a look to Rintoul's in Bathgate. I was so excited all the way through in the car and had taken my own money out my bank in anticipation of coming home with a new pet snake. There were lots in the shop but I was particularly keen on a baby Milk Corn Snake. I was allowed to handle the snake and eventually
persuaded my dad to let me buy it.
When we arrived home with the snake and tank, my mum was a little surprised but it did not take her long to become very interested and by early evening she was
reading up on the books and very interested. I hope to have my snake for many years to come and then would be keen to move onto something a little bigger once I become more experienced.
