John Greenlees

My name is John Greenlees, I'm 10 years old and live on a farm in Perthshire. I have been keen on snakes since I was about 5 and my Mum finally said I could have one if we found out how to look after it properly first.

We spent some time on the internet and found Jim's excellent Petsnakes website. It was full of very useful information and we emailed him for further advice. He suggested a good book to buy (which we did) and very kindly offered to come all the way up here to visit bringing some Corn  Snakes to show us. He explained the basics of snake care and Mum was  finally convinced we could correctly care for one.

The very next day we took a trip down to Bathgate to R. D. Rintoul's pet shop and purchased all that we needed, including a hatchling Amelanistic Corn Snake. I've named  him Simon and we're very pleased with him.

Mum's even thinking of getting another snake sometime for herself and my wee sister Shanna.
