The Pleasance Day Centre is situated in Edinburgh’s Southside Area and is a day care unit for the elderly with dementia/mental health problems.

It was with some reservations that we booked Jim to come along with his reptiles one afternoon. Fortunately all our fears were unfounded as Jim very quickly put everyone at ease with his easygoing manner. It was wonderful to see older people especially the women, petting and fussing over snakes.

The afternoon went all too quickly and with everyone having had such a good time we invited Jim to come back again with some of his other “little friends”. Once again people were amazed that they could handle Jim’s creatures and a great time was had by all.
